You approve the design on your own skin before the tattoo begins.
Hyperrealism in color and black and grey, one client per day. On the day of your session, the composition is built on a photo of your body, printed and tested on your skin in front of the mirror. Fernando starts when you approve.
Sessions in Dallas, Austin and Fort Worth are being planned. People on the list hear about dates first.

Many projects honor someone: a child, a parent, a grandparent, a pet.
The Applied Composition Method
Once you have chosen the artist, the remaining risk is not knowing how it will look. The method settles that on the day of the session, before the tattoo begins.
Before the session
- Full quote. You send the idea, the reference and the placement. The team replies with the number of sessions, the price and the payment options.
- Date reservation. A deposit holds the date and is deducted from the total. The week before, you receive a reminder with how to prepare.
On the day
- Composition Listening. On the morning of the session, Fernando hears the whole idea in person, before drawing.
- Applied Composition. The artwork is built on a photo of your body, printed and tested on your skin in front of the mirror. Size and fit are adjusted right there. When a choice would hurt the result, he tells you and suggests a better path.
- Approval and session. After lunch, with the design approved, the tattoo begins.
After
- Healing and photos. You leave with aftercare instructions and 30 days of healing follow-up. The finished piece gets a professional photo session, delivered to you.
Fernando Souza
I am a tattoo artist specialized in hyperrealism, in color and black and grey. I have been tattooing since January 2007 and studying drawing and painting for more than 30 years, a study I continue every day.
At 26, I placed first in the public exam for court officer at the São Paulo State Court of Justice. I resigned to tattoo full time, guided by a rule I have kept since early on: dedicate my life to work I love, where the result depends only on me.
Over the years, I learned that realism is decided in the design. The composition defines how the image works with the body, with light and with time. That is why I take one client per day and build each design on the body of the person who will wear it, with them beside me.
My work has received more than 45 awards, three of them at TattooWeek, one of the largest tattoo conventions in the world, where I now also serve as a judge. I have tattooed in six countries, and since 2013 I have taught courses that train new tattoo artists.

Texas sessions.
Fernando is planning sessions in Dallas, Austin and Fort Worth. No dates are open yet. People on the list hear about them first, with time to plan the design before the session.
- Same method as in São Paulo: one client per day and approval on your skin before the tattoo begins.
- Your idea, if you send it now, helps plan which cities and dates come first.
- Joining the list is free and does not commit you to anything.
Or come to São Paulo.
The studio is in the Brooklin neighborhood, open Wednesday to Saturday, one client per day. A large space with city views and natural light. The morning is for the design, lunch is with the team, and the afternoon is for the tattoo.
Questions
When will Texas dates open?
No date is confirmed yet. The list is contacted first, before any public announcement.
How much does a tattoo cost?
Each session takes Fernando's whole day: design in the morning, tattoo in the afternoon. The price depends on size and complexity. You receive a full quote, with the number of sessions, before booking.
What if I don't like the design?
Approval happens before the tattoo begins. The composition is printed, tested on your skin in front of the mirror and adjusted until you approve it. If you don't approve the design on the day, your deposit is refunded.
Do I need a reference photo?
It helps, but you can start with the idea. Send any reference images you have, the approximate size in inches and the placement, with a short description of what you want.
Does realism fade over time?
Every tattoo loses some sharpness over the years. What makes realism last is technique: strong contrast and the right separation of tones. If the tattoo has any issue while it heals, the touch-up is free within 90 days.
Does the team speak English?
Yes. The studio team replies in English, in writing, on WhatsApp.
Which styles does Fernando tattoo?
Hyperrealism only, in color and black and grey.
